Belgian Electro-Fetish musicians strike back:
One year after the successful release of their debut "Sacrilege", they return with the new album "Mistress of Blood".



Maturated musicaly and stilistally, the sequel album again in again concentrating on sophisticated lyrics in the field of BDSM and old-school-electro.
The new album travels across all different genres of electronic music. Every musical element is different to the previous one, thus the album becomes many facets.

Often claimed "the modern DIE FORM", Agapesis do not fully meet that cliché: The danceable mix of archaic minimal electronics and gothic elements is much to individual. The duets of both impressive protagonists describe their own dark, decadent world of pain, style and sickness. However, the albums depict only one side of the busy duo. Especially the live-performances of the sexually active couple are unique and a must to attend!


Biography:
Mélanie appeared in Jean-Pierre’s life, they met in August 2006 and in February 2007 they decided to live together at JP’s home in Kortrijk.
They soon discovered that they had a lot of common interests, especially in music and Jean-Pierre found the motivation back again. The same month, they created the band Agapesis. They first found that name regarding their love.

The name Agapesis comes from the ancient Greek “Agapé” which means spiritual love. The ancient Greeks had three words to designate love: Eros, Philias and Agapé. Agapé was the title of their first song and so they took a synonym of this word for the band. They found Agapesis which means “tenderness, affection”. That was the perfect meaning to them as it describes their love..


The following step was an everyday research in voices, sounds and of course the typical melodies from JP which this time could be fully expressed like JP’s whishes. A couple of concerts took place but in the beginning (from March to early October) the band was still looking for a self identity and couldn’t reach a form close to their desires.

It is only after the purchase of more professional instruments that they found their way and the soul of the band. And in December 2007, they really began to enjoy their creation in a band which is now in a permanent evolution. A very good Electro music with powerful songs, dancing rhythms with heavy bass lines remembering German music and melodies with classical accents. A band in the spotlights with an explicit fetish show which is better and better played only in clubs with a targeted audience. For more conventional places, an elegant and soft fetish show is performed. It is in September 2007 that the band signed a contract with the label Biohazzard Records, now in collaboration with the famous label Danse Macabre. They produced with this label their first CD ‘Sacrilège’ and a second CD will be released in November 2008.And the story is not about to stop…
