VOTINGS:
AEON SABLE – Number of votes for PICK of the MONTH:
2/9

"Aeon Sable convince with their songwriting. Nice vocals. The know how to combine gothic songs with remarkable hooklines but also with spheric elements in sounds. Decent but very nice usage of electronics. Yes, that’s what I like!"
(Leo Niessner, Radio Presenter of several Swiss broadcasting stations)
www.djleo.net

"Aeon Sable combine musical deep impact, compository density and entertaining lyrics with good English pronounciation and a more or less plain image to a great package that needs to be established in the future – if the band can pursue their aims during the next years."

Dark Daze Ahead – Number of votes for PICK of the MONTH:
0/9

mundtot – Number of votes for PICK of the MONTH:
3/9

"Musically MUNDTOT are our favourites. The stick out by simple and danceable music with an instrumental diversity. The entire package will work live as well, so they need to be our Pick of the Month!"
(Camping im Keller)
www.myspace.com/kellercamping

"Despite the fact that I do not like the name and the first song: MUNDTOT.
Because they are the most innovative. I like the New-German-Wave (NDW)-attitude. It’s something special about it. If the guys will realise it and continue to walk that line, it may work out in the future."
(Michael Röder, A Spell Inside)

"Mundtot deliver a well-known sound in a new design. It’s not the usual techno-crap where there is only one guy behind his gear and you can only hear noise coming out of the PA. There is melody, vocals, outfit coming together to form a unity, demanding success. Surely there will be some negative aspects about them, but you will need to look for them closely. The tracks "Endzeit" or "Tanz den Untergang" have already some cult-status, so there is much more to be expected from them in the future."
(Jörg Lukrafka, Art-Noir.ch, NEGAtief)

Project Rotten – Number of votes for PICK of the MONTH:
2/9

"Despite of the typical Hellectro-outfit, Project Rotten can convince most compared to all the other bands. Good quality of sound, power etc.. All thumbs up!"
(Gerald, Black Rain Media Group)
www.blackrain.de

"Normally Project Rotten should come from Mexico. However, they are Swedish. And they deliver the best sound of all the bands of the competition. Though I would like to see a bit more distinction from other typical examples of the style."
(Markus Schmitz, GEWC)

SCHULTZ – Number of votes for PICK of the MONTH:
2/9

"SCHULTZ. Absolutely my favourite one. I like his sound and I like his approach to this kind of music."
(DJ Chemnitz)
www.myspace.com/chemnitz

"I reckon Schultz to be the most interesting band of the voting. Quality and optical implementation fit perfectly. Mundtot are close behind them, but with a completely different style, so this is basically very hard to compare, if possible."

AND THE WINNER IIIIIIIIIIIS

„PICK of the MONTH April 2010“ finally wins:
MUNDTOT
With their EP "Endzeit" a few rebellious young musicians, calling themselves 'mundtot' - present a debut that really shows some of the old hands in the gothic scene what's what.

That the roots of the Munich-based trio comes from post-punk and new wave is really unmistakable. Likewise, they mix elegiac wavy guitars with synthpop-hooks and aggressive punk-rhythms with pounding industrial elements.

In which they are indifferent building on the roots of a music - that hardly anyone knows today - expanding this with modern Industrial-Gothrock, they create an exciting, raw, uncut and rebellious music.
The vocals move smart on the line between accusatory sadness and aggressive rebellion.

For 'mundtot' are mainly corporate and time-critical. They have something to say.

Their anger means power, energy and creativity. In a time where some people have long since resigned or just use their aggression to scare little girls, 'mundtot' brings back some rebellious fresh air into the scene. Perhaps a privilege of youth? In any case, damn catchy and awesome.

Info:
mundtot from Munich are new, raw and uncut. Surprisingly fresh and full of energy. Their roots are unmistakably in the Post-Punk and New Wave of the late seventies and early eighties, but mixed with modern industrial-gothic-rock in their newer works.
Combining minimalistic electronic rhythms with catchy synth sounds and aggressive electric guitars. The voice moves between sadness accusatory and aggressive rebellion. Iggy Pops angry self-destructive Punk-attitude, Joy Divisions melancholic depression, The Cure's elegiac guitar or the rough creativity of the early Cassandra Complex - they were all inspiration for this band. Mundtot are young and exciting.

The trio, which was founded in 2008, transferred the roots of an entire musical culture into the new millennium, recreated with its very own youthful aggression. Refreshingly, they show very powerful to many old stagers in the gothic scene what's what.

mundtot are rebellious, rebellious and musically amazingly catchy. mundtot accuse, attack. Goddamn! mundtot are awesome! Under garantee, they are surely not 'muzzled'.
