Brillig join labelmates Dandelion Wine for Special SA show
Fresh from an extended European tour and many months in Berlin, Brillig's pals Dandelion Wine will return to SA for a superfuntastic FREE show at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, on Saturday 4th September (doors 8pm; show ends 11:30pm).Both bands are signed to German-based record label, Black Rain, and last played a show together in Prague & Berlin last year. (Ahhh, fond memories). Prohst! Here are a few good reasons to attend: * it's Dandelion Wine's SA CD LAUNCH of their awesome new LP 'All Becompassed By Stars', which they recorded in Berlin (Brillig thinks that's pretty damn cool...) * it's Dandelion Wine's ONLY SA gig for 2010, and their 1st gig back after nearly a year in Germany (again, very cool!) * Brillig will be debuting a NEW song that they've co-written with SA folk legend, Soursob Bob. It's their first songwriting collaboration, and it's a doozy about deer, and death. But still uplifting!! ('Cause that's Brillig's specialty - turning tragic themes into sweet melodies...) * it's FREE ENTRY and the bands would all LOVE to see you there :) and one more thing..... you could *win* a spot in Brillig's film clip! Yep, Brillig will be holding a special raffle for a chance to be in their upcoming video clip, which will be filmed at the Grace Emily Hotel soon. If you win, you'll join the closed set of the shoot as a member of the 'bar punters cast', and enjoy the *tough* job of propping up the bar at the Grace, drinking Coopers & other assorted beverages, sea-shantying it up to Brillig's track 'The Old Captain', and appearing in the clip - the band's first in a lonnnng time. More info TBA on the night, and you have to be present to win.
